PAYMENT 

We accept credit cards, cash, and e-transfers.

Private physiotherapy treatment is not covered under the provincial health plan in Nova Scotia (MSI). However, most private insurance companies cover private physiotherapy treatments. If you have health insurance,  please check with your provider regarding your coverage. Please be aware that with any health plans, there may be deductibles and copayments for which you could be responsible. We offer direct billing to Blue Cross, Canada Life (Great West Life), Green Shield, Manulife, and Sun Life. For other insurance companies, you will need to pay up front and submit your receipt to your insurance company for reimbursement. We are not an authorized WCB Clinic, and therefore cannot treat WCB clients.

CANCELLATION POLICY

We require 48 hours notice to cancel an appointment, so vacant appointment times can be filled by clients on our waiting list. Cancellations are accepted via phone and email. Any appointments cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice will be subject to a missed appointment/ insufficient notice fee of $75 (except in the event of an emergency situation or sudden illness). In the case of appointments scheduled for Mondays, cancellation notice must be given by the prior Thursday.

ARRIVAL TIME

While we do our very best to arrive and leave on time, sometimes our clinicians experience delays. Sometimes we unexpectedly get stuck behind a school bus or in a construction zone, have our GPS send us somewhere strange, or have to change routes due to a car accident. Sometimes an earlier client needs urgent medical care, and we need to phone their family doctor, or wait with them until paramedics or a family member arrives. We will do our best to phone you if we are running late, and we sincerely appreciate your patience and flexibility when we are delayed.

We care about our impact on the planet, and try to arrange our clinicians' schedules to minimize the distances they drive. This means that sometimes your clinician may phone you to ask if she can change your appointment time to shorten the distances she needs to drive between clients. You do not need to feel obliged to agree to her request - it's important to us that your appointment time works well for you, and that you feel you are receiving reliable service. Please do not hesitate to let us know your scheduling preferences.
