Our Services

We offer high quality mobile physiotherapy & occupational therapy to people in their homes, in hospital, and at local gyms and swimming pools. We also offer evidence-based group programs and seminars designed to provide people with high quality information about health and exercise, and opportunities to learn evidence-based exercises that can support their health & well-being.

If you haven't bounced back from surgery, an injury, pregnancy/birth, or a serious health event such as cancer, a heart attack, or a car accident as easily or as quickly as you'd hoped, we would be happy to help you recover and maximize your improvement. We can also visit you in hospital (at South Shore Regional, Fisherman's Memorial, and Queen's General) to provide comprehensive rehab services and help you get home (or to Rehab) as quickly as you can.

Let us help you stay as healthy and functional as possible while awaiting surgery, and get the best possible result from your surgery when it happens.

REHABILITATE YOUR NERVOUS SYSTEM

If you've experienced a neurological event such as a stroke or brain injury, we can guide your physical recovery and help you optimize your movement and function. If you have a neurological condition, such as Parkinson's or MS, we can help you optimize your current function and maintain abilities that are important to you as long as possible.

LIVE WELL DESPITE CHRONIC DISEASE

Is a condition such as COPD, arthritis, osteoporosis, or diabetes preventing you from feeling well?

Are you struggling to recover following a serious health event, such as cancer, or open heart surgery?

Let us help you recover through personalized exercise programming designed to help you feel better and improve your health as quickly as you can.

GET HEALTHY & FIT

We are highly qualified to design personalized fitness programs, either for you to work on at your own pace, or with us coaching you to help you get the most out of your workout. We can also teach you science-based strategies for sticking with an exercise routine, so you get good long-term results rather than dropping your routine after a couple of weeks. If you like, we can meet you at a swimming pool for hydrotherapy or aquatic exercise.

PREVENT FALLS

Falls are a leading cause of injury and death in older adults. REMAIN INDEPENDENT IN YOUR HOME

People often lose the ability to live safely in their own homes when they lose valued abilities such as walking, keeping their balance, getting up from toilets and chairs, getting in and out of bed, etc. We can help you or your loved one optimize function and acquire the equipment needed to remain safely independent at home as long as possible.

FEEL STRONG & HEALTHY DURING PREGNANCY & AFTER BIRTH

Experiencing pain, diastasis recti, incontinence, prolapse, or other pelvic health issues or pregnancy-related discomforts? We can help you maximize your comfort and function while you prepare for birth, and as you recover afterwards.

Your clinician will ask you lots of questions to get to know you and learn about your health, your body, and your goals. She will then do a physical assessment of your body, health equipment, and/or home setup to learn more about your condition, abilities, challenges, and how she can help.

You will be actively involved in developing a treatment program that works for you, and your treatment plan will be continually adjusted to make sure it provides the best possible benefit.

In-person sessions can be transitioned to or partnered with virtual sessions or phone calls with your clinician at any time if you would like to cut costs, or receive care while you are ill, away, hospitalized, etc.

It may surprise you to learn that virtual (online) physiotherapy and occupational therapy are just as effective as in person treatments. In fact, patients often tell us that they prefer virtual appointments, because they're less time consuming (no driving time), cheaper (no one's paying for gas to get there), and easier to access (no one needs to irritate their bad knee hobbling to an appointment).

We offer virtual care via Zoom, which can be accessed using a computer, tablet, or smartphone. Our virtual services are available throughout Nova Scotia.

First session: 60 minutes, $100

Subsequent sessions: 45 minutes, $85

We offer direct billing to most insurance companies.
